ThinkAnalogy™ Puzzles Software are fun, engaging programs that help your child truly understand the basis of an analogy. These activities develop razor-sharp analogy, vocabulary, word analysis, and comprehension skills for the highest academic and test performance.
Both books begin
with an exploration of word relationships. Your child
classifies word groups, forms pairs of related items,
then identifies types of analogous relationships and
classifies them. Finally, your child selects and supplies words
and word pairs to complete analogies. Book B1 also
teaches how to read and understand analogy structures,
describe analogous relationships, and make analogies
from word lists.
Includes clear explanations of different types of
analogies, answers, and a fun reward game.
For each activity,
players analyzes 30 potential analogy pairs, evaluating
word meanings and relationships to find the best
matches. Then they classify each analogy by type—a
process that's vital to understanding an analogous
relationship.
Analogy types
in all grade levels include kind of, part of, synonym
of, antonym of. Grades 6-8 and 9-12+ levels also include
symbol of, product of, person who, something
used to, degree of, and property of.
