This book is great. This book is great. There are only three types of problems in there but they get progressively more challenging at an appropriate rate. It's teaching the same things that my son is supposed to be learning in class - but in a much more fun way and in a way that actually requires thinking rather than rote memorization. I highly recommend this book. I am using it for a second grader.

N/AI was struggling with teaching algebra. The Balance Math™ books broke it down into bite size pieces. They finally got it! I like the color and space in the elementary books. I will definitely be buying more.

One of our favoritesMy gifted 5 year old loves this book. It's a wonderful way to make practice drills interesting, and an ingenious way to introduce algebra to the youngest students.

N/AI teach GT at the elementary level and am constantly looking for ways to challenge the kids while holding their interest. They LOVE this and beg me to do more. They want it for homework! The problems in the book get progressivly more difficult, but there are clues in the back for those who get stumpted...I highly recomend this book to any math teacher or parent of a kid who fears algebra.

N/ATeaching your child how to think algebraically without introducing variables yet. Really gets the mind working in ways that are different than they do in a regular classroom.
