Since there are jokes and famous quotes revealed at the end of each puzzle, it gives a little incentive to finish...which also makes it almost impossible to put down! I absolutely love these books, and I can’t wait for the next <em>Crypto Mind Benders®</em> book!

<em>Crypto Mind Benders®</em> are challenging...sometimes very difficult...and surprisingly, they are fun. Your students might grumble through the first two problems, but by the fourth exercise, they’ll be hooked-and want to do more. Completing a problem correctly gives such a feeling of accomplishment and confidence. These books are great for kids that don’t like word problems, as these are word problems without the words! Once your students can do these, they might look at word problems differently-from a more positive viewpoint.

This book has been a lot of fun for us! It’s helped my son see that he must carefully consider all the variables before he can get to an answer. He likes it because it’s a puzzle to be solved with a quote as a treat at the end. I like it because it is building his critical thinking skills that will help him in all his subjects including math, writing and computers.

Why is this book so wonderful? Several things: first, there are no word problems. Second, there is a payoff for getting the right answer: you get to see the quotation at the bottom revealed. Third, I firmly believe that there is no better training for the brain than logic problems and these are among the best.

I love it! I always enjoyed the other <em>Mind Benders</em>/logic puzzles we’ve done. I also enjoy codes. This was a perfect blend of my favorite puzzles. Mom has to ration me or else I’d do them all at once. (She only lets me do 1-2 a week to make the book last.)
