My daughter absolutely loved this book and literally begged me to check The Critical Thinking Co’s website to see if there were any other books in the series.

This is a fantastic book of activities that will develop logic and reasoning skills. If you like Mind Benders or Balance Benders, you’ll love Crypto Mind Benders.

Since there are jokes and famous quotes revealed at the end of each puzzle, it gives a little incentive to finish...which also makes it almost impossible to put down! I absolutely love these books, and I can’t wait for the next Crypto Mind Benders® book!

Crypto Mind Benders® are challenging...sometimes very difficult...and surprisingly, they are fun. Your students might grumble through the first two problems, but by the fourth exercise, they’ll be hooked-and want to do more. Completing a problem correctly gives such a feeling of accomplishment and confidence. These books are great for kids that don’t like word problems, as these are word problems without the words! Once your students can do these, they might look at word problems differently-from a more positive viewpoint.

Since that first night, I just give the boys a page to do in between lessons during the week. When I handed them their sheets the other day, they both cheered. They literally cheered! They love these activities.

This book has been a lot of fun for us! It’s helped my son see that he must carefully consider all the variables before he can get to an answer. He likes it because it’s a puzzle to be solved with a quote as a treat at the end. I like it because it is building his critical thinking skills that will help him in all his subjects including math, writing and computers.

Why is this book so wonderful? Several things: first, there are no word problems. Second, there is a payoff for getting the right answer: you get to see the quotation at the bottom revealed. Third, I firmly believe that there is no better training for the brain than logic problems and these are among the best.

Crypto Minds Benders® is definitely great for a challenge and teaching children beneficial thinking and problem solving skills that continue on with them through their adult life.

When Crypto Mind Benders® came in the mail my son eagerly grabbed it off the counter and excitedly opened it up and began working the puzzles. Come to think of it, I haven’t been able to get it back from him! His father wants it; he loves to use these puzzles in his meetings as icebreakers and team builders!
