Great practice for kids to imagine more than one workable solution to everyday problems
This Creative Problem Solving book engages students in the beginning process of finding more than one workable solution to everyday problems. Using their imagination to create what does not exist yet is a very important life skill. It requires harnessing the power of oneās own inventiveness to see beyond!
I have used The Critical Thinking Coā¢ in my home education for several years. I feel incorporating these types of workbooks is imperative to improving thinking skills in a variety of ways.

This marvelously engaging workbook spurs creative problem-solving through an abundance of richly-imagined challenges that stimulate youngsters to think in new and different ways! Creative Problem Solving Level 1's powerful efficacy is due, in part, to its enormous entertainment value. The problems to be explored and solved play more like fun, fascinating puzzles than anything resembling work, a quality that pulls kids deeply into the process and keeps them coming back for more. The 200+ page book is divided into eleven chapters with playful titles indicative of the problems contained therein - The Creature Factory, Superheroes and Super Powers, Alien Designer, The Mind Ride, and seven others. Each chapter starts out with a detailed example that amply demonstrates the applicable technique for solving the problems that follow. Students quickly learn to adopt a "there are no right or wrong answers" mindset but are also prompted to articulate the rationale behind each of their solutions, an approach that serves to unfetter the imagination while keeping young minds grounded in finding genuine solutions to the problem at hand!
