<em>Mathematical Reasoning™</em> not only allows skills to build on one another but once a skill is learned, it is continually practiced. On page 295, adding coins is still practiced (though it was introduced on page 6). But instead of fifteen boring pages based strictly on coins, the skill is randomly spread over three-hundred and twelve pages, with increasing difficulty.

The addition facts are presented on one page and on the opposite page, the student will answer a riddle by completing a dot-to-dot using the sums. Instead of just doing facts for seemingly no reason, he has the reward of finding the answer to a riddle.
